Default Hello from Palm Beach County, Florida

I went diving today with Jupiter Dive Center. Although the water was a bit on the chilly side, we encountered a group of at least 15, probably 20, Goliath Grouper milling about on the Zion Trane. It was awesome! Who else out there dives Palm Beach County? I'd love to hear your thoughts on other cool dives in Florida.

KLS, since I dove with you in the Turks and Caicos on the Aggressor, I can not wait to get down there and see the diving from Palm and Jupiter. The only time I ever saw a Goliath was in Key Largo at Molasses. To see more than one would probably cause me to drop the reg out, as I almost did in Largo. Hope you guys are well.

    Hi JIm!

    Welcome to Scuba Stop!

The GOLIATH GROUPERS are starting to mass up for their spawning aggregation at several locations in Palm Beach County - the Jupiter area and in Boynton Beach. There's several great operators that cater to making sure divers get in the drink with these gentle giants.

Palm Beach County diving, it's awesome! It always amazes me, particularly after I return from a trip like T&C, just how much we have here at home. There's so much fish life - from schools of spade fish to goliaths to varieties of turtles to sharks and load of other species. Anyway ... wish more folks would take advantage of what we have at home.

Walt just returned from the Bahamas trip, with some great images, if I do say so myself! He is trudging through a mass of emails and mentioned he needs to get back to you! Please let us know when you are coming to south Florida and we will plan some great diving!

STAY ON BOARD and welcome again!

    Default Lemon Sharks

This was an incredible year for the Goliath Groupers in Palm Beach County! Usually gone by now, there are some still being spotted on some wrecks and reefs. This is now officially lemon shark season (particulary in Jupiter), and lots have been spotted. Capt. Mike with Jupiter Dive Center has dropped in divers in areas where many can be seen. This is an opportunity not to be missed!
